Teacher Wellness Grant Application

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN FOR THE 2024/25 SCHOOL YEAR UNTIL APRIL 15TH OR FUNDS RUN OUT.

If you have questions or concerns relating to your application, contact Eunah Lee, Chair, Teacher Wellness by email at elee@wta.mb.ca. No phone calls, please. Funding shall be approved for activities and events that promote wellness for teachers. Approved activities MAY NOT be changed after approval. You must reapply for the grant if your activity changes. One grant per location, per school year. The grant cannot be used for Professional Development.

Please note: The WTA Wellness Grant will NOT provide an honorarium for WSD staff or pay for gift cards.

Wellness grants are for WTA members ONLY.

Events MUST take place before May 30th and all receipts and evaluations must be in the office by June 15th.

GRANT CRITERIA

The committee seeks to fund WTA member events that promote stress reduction, physical activity, nutrition, and life management/work-life balance.

5- 15 WTA Members may be funded to a maximum of $400

16-30 WTA Members may be funded to a maximum of $600

31-50 WTA Members may be funded to a maximum of $800

51-70 WTA Members may be funded to a maximum of $900

71+ WTA Members may be funded to a maximum of $1000

Applications must be received six weeks in advance of the wellness event, exclusive of winter and spring breaks.

Applications received after the wellness event will not be considered.

Applications must be submitted between September 1 and April 30.

Wellness events must be held within the City of Winnipeg.

Wellness grants will be paid after receipts and a completed evaluation form have been submitted to the WTA office.
