Les says he became a teacher to help create, “respectful and responsible members of society who contribute in a productive and positive way.” He also says if he had some downtime, he’d love to spend it “zoned out and disconnected from the world.”
A Division teacher for 12 years and a newcomer to the WTA Executive this year, Les would like to improve direct communication between the Executive and members. He wants to ensure teachers know their rights and responsibilities and understand factors that affect their health and abilities.
Les says in high school he was athletic, on the honour roll and a natural peer leader. He obviously did not spend too much time zoned out or disconnected from the world.
