How many times have you sloughed off comments about your morning demeanor, citing a lack of sleep, or genetic inability to function prior to noon?  Or, how many times have you justified “one more” episode of your current Netflix indulgence, because you are a “night owl” and can’t sleep early?

Let’s start off thinking about whether there really is such a thing as a “morning person” or a “night owl”.

Now, let’s listen carefully (and with envy?) to what successful morning people do.  Remember that it typically takes 21 days to entrench a new habit, so pick one small thing to change and stick with it.  Next thing you know, you’ll be waking the birds up with your morning songs!  Or not.  Maybe you’ll just be less groggy.  Either way is a step in the right direction!

I think that when you get dressed in the morning, sometimes you’re really making a decision about your behavior for the day. Like if you put on flipflops, you’re saying: ‘Hope I don’t get chased today.’ ‘Be nice to people in sneakers.’
