Ad Hoc Committee - Secession

Recommendations:

1. That the Ad Hoc Committee – Secession be reconstituted for the 2010/2011 school year.
2. That the Ad Hoc Committee consists of no more than eight (8) members. The Committee should consist of members of the Executive and general membership.
3. That the Ad Hoc Committee allow for guests to be present at the request of the Committee.
4. That the Committee will look at affiliation with The Manitoba Teachers’ Society; and, the option of secession from The Manitoba Teachers’ Society.
5. That the Committee investigates the following issues, but not limited to: service delivery (Business Agent), cost of a bundled disability/dental/health plan, TRAF, legal services and negotiations.
6. That the timeframe of the Committee would result in three reports to Council: November, February and a written report in May 2011.

I would like to thank the Committee for their hard work this year. The discussions were great and very thought-provoking.
